The main application that developer Novicorp has to offer is called WinToFlash, a tool you can use to create bootable USB drives for Microsoft's Windows operating system. Alongside this main application, Novicorp has one other application to offer: Bootable USB Test, a tool you can use to test bootable USB drives. So if you used WinToFlash to put Windows on a bootable USB device, you can then use Bootable USB Test to check and see if that device works properly.

Bootable USB Test is compatible with 32- and 64-bit versions of Windows, any edition from Windows XP up to Windows 10. You’ll be glad to know that Bootable USB Test doesn’t need to be installed. To get started with this application you must download a ZIP archive, extract its contents, and run emutest.exe.

Three buttons are presented at the top on this application’s interface:
USB or HDD – test a bootable USB device.
ISO – test an ISO image that’s stored on a portable USB device.
IMA – test a floppy image.
For additional information on the interface, I invite you to check out this Bootable USB Test Wiki, which explains what every button and every checkbox does.

WinToFlash comes in many flavors: the free Lite edition and the paid Home (Personal) and Professional editions. Unlike WinToFlash, there’s just one Bootable USB Test edition, and it’s free.

Novicorp nicely covers your need to create and work with bootable USB drives. With its WintoFlash application you can easily create bootable USBs. And with Bootable USB Test you can check to make sure that these bootable USBs work like they should.

Pros

Bootable USB Test is portable software that doesn’t need to be installed; support is provided for 32- and 64-bit Windows editions, any edition from Windows XP up to Windows 10. You can use Bootable USB Test to test USB drives, ISO images, and floppy images. Bootable USB Test is free software.

Cons

None that I could think of.
